Tortellini refers to ring or navel shaped pasta that’s usually filled with cheese and meat. It’s also sometimes called “belly button” because of its shape.
To make these amazing deep fried tortellini, you’re going to need peanut oil, all purpose flour, eggs, Italian style breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, all purpose seasoning, dried parsley, granulated garlic, salt, pepper and fresh Herb Chicken Tortellini.
So first, heat oil in pot over medium high heat. Put flour in a bowl. In another bowl, beat eggs. Put all the seasonings, breadcrumbs and cheese in a zip bag. Roll tortellini in the flour, then dip in eggs, and then put inside the zip bag. Shake to coat completely. Fry tortellini in the pot until golden brown. Drain on a paper towel. Season with salt. Serve with marinara.
