If you’re looking to add a twist to your favorite French toast, here’s a simple but fun solution. Make bite-size pieces using 1 to 1.5-inch slices of crispy and crusty French baguette. For the egg mixture, simply combine three large eggs, 1/2 cup of half-and-half, 1/2 cup of milk and 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (you can also add some orange zest). Let the bread soak in the mixture for 2 minutes on each side. Then cook them in a skillet pan coated with melted butter. About 3 minutes on each side should do, or just until they get a nice golden brown color. Enjoy with butter, maple syrup, powdered sugar and some fruit, and you’ll get to start your day with a hearty and yummy breakfast.
