Get your ingredients ready by cutting sticks of mozzarella string cheese in half and removing the seeds and stems of small jalapeños that have also been cut in half. Place a piece of mozzarella in the jalapeño and enclose in wonton wrapper. Dip in beaten egg then dredge in a mixture of 1 cup panko bread crumbs and 1/4 teaspoon each of kosher salt and garlic powder. Fry in a large pot containing an inch of oil until golden brown, or for about 2 to 3 minutes. Add a dash of kosher salt as a final touch.
