Cereals are no longer just regular breakfast foods. They’re now used to make classy desserts that you can see in the menus of high-end restaurants. Such is this Trix Cereal crunch cake, which the author made by grinding the cereal into powder, and folding it into white cake batter for color and flavor.
But before it was crushed using a coffee grinder, the cereal pieces were first separated according to color and flavor—fruity yellow, berry purple, blue be-zurple, berry green, tasty orange, and red rooty-tooty. If you prefer to make your cake from scratch, that would also work. It’s even much better.
