Watercress and Pecan Pear Salad

When you think of salad, you immediately think about serving it in a bowl or platter. Well, here’s an amazing new way to serve your salad. This vertical pear salad doesn’t only look unique, appealing and creative, it’s also very delicious.

To make this, you’ll need pears, watercress, toasted pecans, crumbled blue cheese, vinaigrette dressing, honey and lemon juice. So first, cut the pears horizontally. You should have three to four slices. Remove the core but leave the steam. Brush with lemon juice. This will prevent it from browning too quickly.

Then, mix pecans, blue cheese and watercress. Toss with the dressing. Assemble the pear slices vertically, putting the salad in between the layers. Drizzle with honey. Serve with a smile.
